Mediterranean Wedding Catering in Joliet

Mediterranean wedding catering in Joliet, from four Lebanese brothers who know what a wedding table should look like. Generous, colorful, and full of food people talk about on the drive home.

Why Mediterranean food fits a wedding

A Lebanese wedding is about the table. Platters in the middle, everybody reaching, somebody’s aunt telling you to eat more. Mediterranean food was made for that. It is colorful, it is shareable, and it covers a lot of diets in one spread.

Our recipes come from our parents’ kitchen. Dany, our head chef, cooks from family recipes that go back generations. Produce chopped daily, meat carved from the spit, sauces made in house.

What we can bring to your wedding

Weddings are one of the events we cater, along with office events and family gatherings. Browse our catering menu at catering.ambagrill.com for the full lineup.

  • Build-your-own bowl bar: saffron turmeric rice, bulgur pilaf or greens, hummus and dips, chicken shawarma, tawook, steak, falafel or roasted veg, toppings and drizzles
  • Party Trays: chicken shawarma or tawook wraps with fresh-cut fries and choice of dip
  • Family Feast Meals: shareable spreads with rice, hummus, pita, salads and sauces, good for a rehearsal dinner or the family the morning after

A menu your guests can all eat

Wedding guest lists are a mix. Vegetarians, gluten free guests, kids, and the uncle who only eats meat. Our in-store menu marks items V and GF. Falafel and roasted veg cover vegetarians. Saffron turmeric rice, greens, every dip and most proteins are marked GF.

A few words you will see on our menu: tawook is chicken marinated and grilled, Lebanese style. Toum is a whipped garlic sauce. Amba is a tangy mango sauce and the source of our name.

Questions to ask any wedding caterer

Whoever you hire, get clear answers on these before you sign anything. They are fair questions for us too, and we will answer them for your date.

  • Are you available on our date?
  • What is the all-in price, and what does it include?
  • How do you handle allergies and dietary needs?
  • How does the food get to the venue, and who sets it up?
  • What happens with leftovers?

Beyond the reception

A wedding is more than one dinner. There is the engagement party, the bridal shower, the rehearsal dinner, the night the out-of-town cousins land, and the morning after when everyone is hungry and nobody wants to cook.

That is where we come in, even if your reception is already handled. A Family Feast Meal feeds 4 to 6 with rice, hummus, pita, salads, sauces and a half gallon of ginger mint lemonade. Party Trays bring chicken shawarma or tawook wraps with fresh-cut fries. Both are on our in-store menu, and prices can change.

For the bigger events, a build-your-own bowl bar lets guests mingle and eat at their own pace. Every plate is different, and nobody is stuck with the chicken or fish choice they made on an RSVP card three months ago.

How to start your wedding catering inquiry
